Bill & Carol Smith Collection A nice shallow dome covered in hematite pseudomorphs to 2 cm on edge. These specimens have routinely been sold as “hematite after siderite” but I have never seen proof of the original species so we label them more vaguely as “hematite after a carbonate”. Bill and Carol got this one from us when we were dispersing the Richard Strecker collection. Strecker got the specimen from George Fisher who collected the piece in 1997.
