Huebnerite is quite famous from the Sweet Home Mine, but fine specimens are rather elusive. This one is quite good even given the damage to some of the huebnerite crystals. The flat plate is covered in classic Sweet Home needle quartz with lustrous reddish-brown huebnerite blades placed among them. The specimen was purchased by Marv Rausch from Keith Williams with documentation from the John Sinkankas collection. Unfortunately there is no catalog number on the specimen, but the dimensions and description on the Sinkankas card match the specimen. Ultimately the Rausch collection was sold by Gene Schlepp from whom I acquired this specimen.
