Jim & Dawn Minette Collection
This specimen started as a very large cabinet specimen, and after several showings I decided it would be more appealing as smaller specimens. This is the largest specimen that resulted from the trimming. The others will be offered in a later update. The crystals themselves are quite large tennantite after chalcocite pseudomorphs that have often been referred to as “tennantite after azurite”. But this is the only one I have seen that is nearly covered in white smithsonite rhombs. During trimming one of the crystals broke off and I repaired the specimen, but on examining it as I write this I can’t figure out which one is repaired.
