Jim & Dawn Minette Collection Jim and Dawn Minette put together arguably the finest thumbnail mineral collection ever. We acquired the collection in 2008, but some fine specimens fell through the cracks and are still available. Keep in mind that Minette thumbnails often pushed the size envelope so they may not fit exactly into a 1 inch cube.

We are all familiar with malachite after azurite pseudomorphs, but the European classic locality of Rudabánya, Hungary is relatively unknown to American collectors. This fine well-formed crystal was in the personal collection of Willard Perkin of “Perky” box fame before the Minettes acquired it.
